California Railroad Museum Chooses P21S Paste Wax
The California State Railroad Museum purchased and tested a host of microcrystalline waxes and other polishes to protect the metals on their historical locomotives. The challenge of this conservation work was to locate a product that would not only preserve, but protect surfaces from frequent visitors’ handprints and smudges, thus reducing the need for constant polishing. Only one product met their stringent demands. Thunderou clapping and cheering erupted from the museum staff after viewing the results of a completely reversible product with non-aggressive chemicals: P21S® 100% Carnauba Wax. The 100% pure carnauba wax provides a highly stunning and attractive gloss and is extremely easy to apply using an exclusively designed ergonometric applicator. The curator stated, “The 100% pure carnauba wax is now an essential item for our conservation work at the California State Railroad Museum.”
